Madrona is a bakery, bottle shop, and event space in Downtown Mill Valley. We specialize in making laminated pastries, wood fired bread, and grab-n-go lunches. Cashier

2-4 shifts a week, 4-8 hour shifts; must be available on weekends

Hours: Thursday through Sunday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM or 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Pay: $17-$21/hr + tips, hourly rate will be based on experience

Restaurant experience: minimum of 1 year

Reliably commute or relocate prior to starting work 

Weโ€™re looking for the perfect person to help round out our front of house team. This person needs to be comfortable jumping into lots of different roles and has a desire to learn.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • take orders and help package/serve bakery items

  • keep the bussing station in the dining room clean and replace bus tubs as needed

  • wash wares from service

  • barista experience is a plus; cover for barista during breaks

  • alcohol/wine serving experience is a plus

  • maintain mindful and detail-oriented hospitality

  • communicate kindly

  • have a good working knowledge of all the products we make 

  • opening and closing, including using locks and our alarm system

  • carrying up to 40 lbs

  • support and work together with the rest of the team

Dishwasher/
Prep-cook

4 shifts a week, 8 hour shifts

Hours: Thursday through Sunday, 8 AM to 4 PM

Pay: $15-19/hr + tips, hourly rate will be based on experience

Dishwasher/prep cook experience: minimum of 1 year

Reliably commute or relocate prior to starting work 

Weโ€™re looking for a motivated and multi-tasking dishwasher: someone that prioritizes keeping the dish station clean and tidy, but also can assist with light prep work when service is a bit slower. Experienced dishwashers and prep cooks only, please. 

What will your responsibilities be?

  • wash all wares from service and prep work 

  • maintain a clean and organized dishwashing and drying station

  • keep the bussing station in the dining room clean and replace bus tubs as needed

  • ensure that proper chemicals are neatly stored and stocked for the dishwashing and janitorial stations

  • be able to prep vegetables, meats, make salads, and sandwiches

  • sweep and mop floors at the end of every shift, or as needed

  • take out the compost, recycling, and garbage at the end of every shift, or as needed

  • help with cleaning all surfaces and walk in refrigerators

  • communicate kindly

  • support and work together with the rest of the team

  • welcome everyone
